July 17, 2020 Update: El Paso County Public Health has told us that masks are not required while poolside as long as you are capable of social distancing. Face masks will be required when working out in the gym and all other rules still apply. Thank you for your understanding while we worked to get details and clarifications on the new executive order.

July 16, 2020 Update: The Governor of Colorado has issued a statewide face mask order effective at midnight tonight that requires every Coloradan, age 11 and up, wear a mask or face covering whenever they're in public. Face masks will be required when using the Rec Center gym.

The order requires people in Colorado who are 11 years and older to wear a covering over their noses and mouths:

  • When entering or moving within any public indoor space.
  • While using or waiting to use public (buses, light-rail) or non-personal (taxis, car services, ride-shares) transportation services.

People who do not have to wear a mask include:

  • People who are 10 years old and younger.
  • People who cannot medically tolerate a face covering.
  • Children ages 2 and under should NOT wear masks or cloth face coverings.

July 8, 2020: El Paso County Public Health Department has recently received an anonymous complaint for violations regarding COVID-19 guidelines at the Ventana Recreation Center.  As of today (July 8, 2020) Ventana Metropolitan District is asking you, the resident, to adhere to our established guidelines to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and help keep the Recreation Center open.

Some of the areas where you will see a heavier impact is:

  • Absolutely NO out-of-state visitors will be allowed.
  • Users MUST either keep a 6-foot social distance or be sure to wear a mask when interacting with those outside your household.

If these violations continue, we will need to strictly enforce the 4 person per household policy and no longer treat that on a case by case basis. If you are violating any of the posted rules you may be subject to immediate removal and suspension from future use of the Recreation Center.

The Pool area may be closed by order of the State, County, or District Managers to help ensure your safety.
